Group Leader, Compute Antarctic Group, Physics, University of Tasmania;
Program Lead, Circum Antarctic and East Antarctic, Australian Centre of Excellence for Antarctic Science, ACEAS (2021-present);
Chair, Coordinating Committee for East Antarctica, International Lithosphere Program (2021-present).
Research interests:
1) Computational data inference including inverse theory, machine learning, earthquake seismology, plate tectonic structure and evolution, ambient seismic techniques, environmental applications of seismology including ocean storms and cryoseismology.
2) Pioneer geophysical data collection comprising over 30 years leading observational seismology and interdisciplinary field programmes in remote and challenging environments including Antarctica and outback Australia.
3) Interdisciplinary insight generation for East Antarctica and other locations of societal relevance through innovative, adaptive semi-automatic workflows, and computational strategies to target and optimise data collection.

Fulbright Senior Scholar (2016/17).
