BIO
Natasha graduated from Murdoch University, Western Australia, with a Bachelor Science, Biotechnology 2001 (Dux) and from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Master Medical Science, Drug Development 2010 (Dux). With more than twenty years of clinical trial management experience (>10 years in senior leadership positions), Natasha received the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) accreditation in 2009. She was the Operations Manager of the United Kingdom Clinical Research Collaboration (UK-CRC) registered and accredited Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU), at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)(2011-2014), PCTU Assistant Information Governance lead (2016) and Managing Director of the National Bowel Research Centre (NBRC) clinical trials hub for complex interventions, QMUL (2014-2018). Natasha is currently the Senior Program Manager for the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Research Flagship, commencing in March 2020, and is also the Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Research Excellence (MS-CRE) Manager, launching in November 2024.
She leads the strategic operations, business magement, stakeholder management and governance of the Flagship, accounting for ~40 current projects, >$28mil in funding and >64 staff and students across five disciplinary teams. She received the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, Professional Staff Award for outstanding and exceptional leadership of the MS Research Flagship in 2022. In addition to chairing the MS Research Flagship leadership group and operations team, Natasha also manages the MS clinical trial operations team, steering committee, scientific advisory committee, data safety monitoring committee, and MS Stem governance committee, and Centre of Research Excellence Translation Action Group. She was the inaugral chair of the Menzies Peer Support and Mentoring Committee from 2021-2023 and led the development of the Menzies consumer and community involvement (CCI) policy and strategy in 2021.
Currently an inaugural committee member of the Australian Association of Medical Research Institute (AAMRI) Research Impact Committee, and member of the AAMRI strategy and governance networks, Australian Association of Clinical Trials (AACTA), UK Clinical Trial Managers Network (UKTMN), and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).
